Magnificent Jasba Vase Lamp with a Vibrant Lampshade Featuring a Japanese Cat Motif

This playful accent lamp has been upcycled from an original Jasba vase from the 1960s/70s. The ceramic stands out with its characteristic shape and Jasba's typical high-quality glaze. A compact vintage vase serves as the base for this lamp, which gains an entirely new effect through the extraordinary lampshade.

The handmade lampshade is covered with a Japanese fine corduroy fabric made of cotton. The charming cat motif gives the lamp a humorous yet stylish appearance. The fine corduroy structure adds depth to the fabric and creates a particularly pleasant light. The combination of Mid-Century ceramics and Japanese textile design makes this lamp a true one-of-a-kind piece.

Conversion to a Lamp
The original Jasba vase was transformed into a lamp in a way that preserved the object. No holes were drilled, so the original condition of the ceramic, and thus its collector's value, remain intact. The construction is fully reversible.

Technology – two variants possible:

Cordless variant (standard):
The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. Lighting duration up to 12 hours. The bulb can be repurchased at any time for approximately 12 euros. The LED bulb is suitable for outdoor use. It can be dimmed via the included remote control – multiple light colors are adjustable. Thanks to its cordless operation, the lamp is particularly well-suited for places without a direct power connection, such as balconies, terraces, or gardens.
