This expressive accent lamp was upcycled from an original Bay Keramik vase from the 1960s/70s. It is model 66-25, which combines the characteristic design language of West German Pottery with an exceptionally sculptural Fat Lava glaze.
Particularly impressive is the strong contrast between the vibrant red smooth glaze and the three-dimensional, grey graduating lava glaze that flows like liquid rock over the neck of the vase. The sculptural surface of the vase makes it a sculptural design object even when unlit.
As an exciting counterpoint, there is the handcrafted lampshade made from a finely woven Japanese cotton fabric. The expressive crane motif in vibrant red and pink appears light and almost floating. Due to the fine weave structure, the fabric is particularly translucent, so that when switched on, the colors begin to glow intensely, creating a warm, atmospheric ambiance. The combination of powerful ceramics and delicate textiles is a conscious choice – contrasts that combine to form a harmonious overall picture.

Conversion to lamp
The original Bay-Keramik vase was converted into a lamp with care to preserve the object. No drilling was carried out, so that the original condition of the ceramic and thus its collector's value are preserved. The construction is fully reversible.
Technology: The lamp comes with a transparent cable and a black E27 socket, into which the cable is fed directly on the rear side of the lamp. Rocker switch and Euro plug.
