Cordless Table Lamp made of Cari Zalloni Ceramic – Cityscape Collection | 33 cm
This extraordinary table lamp is part of the Cityscape Collection by Roomlight Studio, combining iconic 1970s ceramic design with contemporary textile design. The lamp base was made from an original ceramic vase by Cari Zalloni, whose designs for Steuler Keramik are now among the most significant classics of West German Pottery. His sculptural, stacked forms are reminiscent of modern architecture and form the design basis of this collection.
For the Cityscape Collection, Roomlight Studio reinterprets this design language. The handcrafted lampshade features a colorful skyline of high-rises, facades, and urban structures. The clear geometric blocks echo the cubic silhouette of the vase, combining Mid-Century ceramics with contemporary textile design. This creates an exciting dialogue between architecture, ceramics, and light.
The deep petrol blue glaze of the vase provides an elegant contrast to the vibrant colors of the shade. This very combination of serene ceramics and lively city motif gives the lamp its special appeal. When switched on, the shade unfolds its full color brilliance and bathes the room in warm, atmospheric light.
The lamp is cordless and can therefore be flexibly used wherever atmospheric light is desired – on sideboards, windowsills, bedside tables, bookshelves, or as a decorative eye-catcher on the dining table, balcony, or terrace.
The rechargeable LED light source is conveniently charged via USB-C and offers – depending on the selected brightness – a lighting duration of up to 12 hours. The included remote control allows for individual adjustment of brightness and light color – from warm white ambient light to neutral white. The light source is CE-approved and can be easily repurchased if needed.
Like all lamps from Roomlight Studio, this unique piece was converted with particular care for the lamp. The collector's value of the original Cari Zalloni vase is preserved, as no holes were drilled. The reversible plug-in solution allows for restoration to its original condition at any time. The lamp base is additionally weighted to ensure a secure stand.
