Upcycled Table Lamp from Cari Zalloni Ceramic – Cityscape Collection | 28 cm
This extraordinary table lamp combines two design worlds that, at first glance, could hardly be more different – and precisely because of this, they harmonize perfectly. The lamp base was created from an original ceramic vase by Cari Zalloni, one of the most important designers of German post-war modernism. His designs for Steuler Keramik are now among the most coveted icons of West German Pottery and are characterized by their sculptural, architectural forms.
For the Cityscape Collection, Roomlight Studio reinterprets this design language. The handcrafted lampshade, with its colorful city motif, picks up on the stacked geometry of the ceramic and translates it into a vibrant skyline of skyscrapers, facades, and urban structures. This creates an exciting dialogue between the clear design language of the 1970s and contemporary textile design.
The warm ochre glaze of the vase provides a calm counterpoint to the bright colors of the shade. Despite its compact size, the lamp has an exceptional presence and is ideal as accent lighting on sideboards, windowsills, bookshelves, or small side tables.
Like all lamps from Roomlight Studio, this unique piece was converted into a lamp with particular care. The collector's value of the vase is preserved as no drilling was done. The reversible plug-in solution allows it to be returned to its original state at any time. The lamp base is additionally weighted and ensures a secure stand.
The lamp is operated wirelessly, making it flexible to use wherever atmospheric light is desired – on sideboards, windowsills, bedside tables, bookshelves, or as a decorative eye-catcher on the dining table, balcony, or terrace.
The rechargeable LED light source is conveniently charged via USB-C and offers – depending on the chosen brightness – a lighting duration of up to 12 hours. The included remote control allows for individual adjustment of brightness and light color – from warm white ambient light to neutral white. The light source is CE-tested and can be easily repurchased if needed.
