Cordless Table Lamp from Cari Zalloni Ceramics – Cityscape Collection | 36 cm
This extraordinary table lamp is part of Roomlight Studio's Cityscape Collection and combines iconic German ceramic design with contemporary textile design. The lamp base was made from an original ceramic vase by Cari Zalloni, whose designs for Steuler Keramik are now among the most significant classics of West German Pottery. With their sculptural, stacked forms and architectural clarity, his objects still appear astonishingly modern today.
For the Cityscape Collection, this very design language is further developed. The handcrafted lampshade takes up the geometric forms of the ceramics and translates them into a colorful skyline of skyscrapers, facades, and urban structures. The dense city motif is reminiscent of pulsating metropolises and forms an exciting contrast to the minimalist form of the vase. At the same time, a design connection is created, as both the ceramics and the textile design thrive on clear cubes, stacked volumes, and architectural lines.
The intense cobalt blue glaze of the vase gives the lamp a powerful presence. Together with the luminous shade, a design object is created that uniquely combines Mid-Century design, Pop Art, and contemporary textile design.
The lamp is operated cordlessly and can therefore be flexibly used wherever atmospheric light is desired – on sideboards, windowsills, bedside tables, bookshelves, or as a decorative eye-catcher on the dining table, balcony, or terrace.
The rechargeable LED light source is conveniently charged via USB-C and offers – depending on the selected brightness – a lighting duration of up to 12 hours. The included remote control allows for individual adjustment of brightness and light color – from warm white ambient light to neutral white. The light source is CE-approved and can be easily repurchased if needed.
Like all Roomlight Studio lamps, this unique piece has been converted particularly gently. The collector's value of the original Cari Zalloni vase is preserved, as no drilling has been done. The reversible plug-in solution allows for restoration to its original condition at any time. The lamp base is additionally weighted for a secure stand.
