This upcycled and handcrafted table lamp is part of our Cityscape Collection and combines two worlds of the designer Cari Zalloni. The sculptural Steuler ceramic from the 1960s and 1970s, with its stacked, geometric form, is reminiscent of modern architecture. The handcrafted lampshade takes up this idea and translates it into a colorful skyline of skyscrapers and urban facades.
The intense red of the original 1960s Steuler vase creates an exciting contrast to the vibrant colors of the fabric. This results in a design object that uniquely combines Mid-Century ceramics and contemporary textile design.
Each lamp is carefully handcrafted in our Berlin studio. The collector's value of the original vintage ceramic is fully preserved – we do not drill holes in the vase. Instead, we use our specially developed, reversible plug-in solution, which securely anchors the socket without permanently altering the ceramic. This transforms every historic vase into a unique design object with its own story.
For maximum flexibility, the lamp is equipped with a cordless, USB-C rechargeable LED light source. Thanks to the integrated battery, it can be used without a power connection and can be flexibly placed in living spaces or on sheltered outdoor areas such as balconies or terraces.
