Dümler & Breiden Studio 71 table lamp upcycled from original vintage vase

This Pop Art accent lamp was made from a ceramic vase by Dümler & Breiden from the Studio 71 line. The vase dates from the 1960s/70s and is a typical example of the experimental forms and glazes of West German Pottery.

The sculptural relief decoration and the amphora shape make the lamp base particularly striking. The vase with an orange, dark brown and turquoise glaze is exceptionally well preserved.

The lampshade was elaborately handcrafted using weaving techniques. The vertical stripe pattern in warm orange, green and natural tones picks up the colors of the vase and enhances the effect of the lamp. When switched on, an atmospheric, warm light is created with an interesting play of light on the wall.

The vase was carefully converted into a lamp without drilling. The conversion is completely reversible, so that the original condition of the ceramic with collector's value is preserved. The construction is weighted with sand inside and ensures a secure stand. High-quality brass finish and E27 socket.

Technology – cordless & flexible. The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb that can be charged via a USB-C cable. The lighting duration is up to 12 hours. The bulb can be repurchased at any time for approx. 12 Euros and is suitable for outdoor use.

The brightness and light color can be individually adjusted using the included remote control. Due to its cordless use, the lamp is particularly suitable for places without a direct power connection – for example, on a balcony, terrace or in the garden.

The price of the vase lamp is justified by the collector's value of the vase and the elaborate craftsmanship of the lampshade. It is a unique piece.
