Small cordless lamp made from original West Germany vase
Cordless Vase Lamp from West German Pottery – Blue and White with Japanese Fabric | 33 cm
A unique, handy piece, combining typical 1970s styling with a modern Japanese textile design. The original West German Pottery vase has a soft, organic shape and a flowing glaze in cream white and various shades of blue – its small size makes the shape reminiscent of traditional jug forms.
The cylindrical lampshade is covered with a high-quality Japanese cotton fabric. The graphic wave pattern (Seigaiha) is one of the classic motifs of Japanese textile art and symbolizes tranquility, constancy, and the sea. The fine dark blue lines pick up the colors of the vase, creating a particularly balanced composition. The translucent fabric creates a pleasant, warm, homely light when switched on.
The lamp is cordless, making it flexible for use wherever atmospheric light is desired – on sideboards, windowsills, bedside tables, dining tables, or even on the balcony and terrace.
Like all Roomlight Studio lamps, this unique piece was converted with particular care. The collector's value of the vase is preserved as no drilling was done. The reversible plug-in solution allows it to be restored to its original condition at any time. The lamp base is also weighted for a secure stand.
The rechargeable LED bulb is charged via USB-C, offers a lighting duration of approximately 6 to 12 hours depending on brightness, and can be dimmed and adjusted in light color via remote control. The bulb can be reordered at any time.
Dimensions: Total height: 33 cm; Vase: 9 cm wide; Lampshade: 18 × 19 cm
A calm, timeless accent lamp that elegantly combines Scandinavian lightness, Japanese design, and the character of classic West German Pottery.
