Rare Marei vase as a cordless table lamp
Marei 7300 Vintage Table Lamp in Purple / Plum Noir
This small, cordless accent lamp was crafted from an original Marei vase – model 7300. 1970s. Marei stands for "MAjolikafabrik REInbach (Jean Fuss & Sohn)" and is one of the formative manufacturers of West German Pottery. The color variant shown here in Plum Noir is exceptionally intense – a shade that is currently celebrated as a trend color in interior design.
The glaze is typical Marei: extremely vibrant, deep, and lively. The rich violet has an almost velvety luminosity and appears differently intense depending on the light. The vase is in pristine condition – no damage, no glaze loss.
Vase height: 12 cm, width: 9 cm
Total lamp height: approx. 31 cm
The conversion to a lamp is done entirely without drilling or permanent alteration, using a custom-fitted but reversible plug-in solution. The small lamps stand stably due to sand weighting in the vase. Opening sealed with a high-quality brass plate, E27 socket with brass look.
Technology – cordless & flexible: Equipped with a high-quality, rechargeable LED bulb: dimmable via remote control (included, warm white or color selection possible, timer function (15 / 30 / 60 minutes), USB-C rechargeable, up to 12 hours of illumination. The bulb is suitable for outdoor use, the lamp can be used on balconies and terraces.
The lamp is particularly striking when the bulb is set to a color – the intense Plum Noir of the vase then truly begins to glow.
The lampshade: Material: yarn-dyed African batik fabric
Luminous, high-contrast colors with a graphic pattern. The fabric picks up on the expressive colors of the vase and enhances its presence. The yarn-dyeing creates a particularly intense light effect – the pattern remains powerful and lively even when illuminated.
This lamp is a handmade unique piece – Only one available.
