Slim cordless table lamp by Scheurich, 1960s
Slim cordless table lamp by Scheurich, 1960s
Price for vintage lamp including shade and cordless bulb
This elegant accent lamp has been upcycled from an original Scheurich ceramic vase from the 1960s/70s. The slender, almost columnar shape and characteristic textured casting give the vase a timeless elegance and make it a classic example of West German Pottery.
The fine relief of the ceramic is particularly beautiful, reminiscent of organic structures found in nature. This very motif is picked up by the handmade lampshade. The high-quality fabric with its delicate coral motif not only harmonizes in color with the ceramic but also adopts its sculptural surface structure. This creates an exceptionally harmonious overall impression, where vase and lampshade seem made for each other.
With its slender silhouette, the lamp is particularly suitable as a stylish light source on a sideboard, a windowsill, or a shelf, where it creates an elegant effect even in a small space.
Dimensions: – Total height of the lamp: 42 cm – Vase: 22 cm high, approx. 8 cm diameter at the base – Lampshade: 20 cm high, 18 cm diameter
Conversion to a lamp
The original Scheurich vase has been carefully converted into a lamp, preserving the object. No drilling was carried out, so the original condition of the ceramic and thus its collector's value are maintained. The construction is fully reversible.
Due to its slender shape and relatively small footprint, I recommend placing the lamp on a secure, level surface and not in high-traffic areas.
Technology – cordless & flexible
The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. Lighting duration up to 12 hours. The bulb can be repurchased at any time for approximately 12 euros. The LED bulb is suitable for outdoor use. It can be dimmed with the included remote control – multiple light colors are adjustable. Thanks to its cordless use, the lamp is particularly suitable for places without direct power connection, such as on a balcony, terrace, or in the garden. A unique piece that combines the clear design language of West German Pottery with an artfully designed textile. An elegant accent lamp whose fabric and ceramic form a particularly harmonious unit in terms of motif, structure, and color.
