Vintage Scheurich Table Lamp with Japanese Crane Shade

This elegant accent lamp was upcycled from a 1960s/70s ceramic vase. The vase captivates with its slender, architectural form and the exceptional glaze in deep navy blue with fine light blue speckles. The color scheme is reminiscent of a starry sky or mineral surfaces, giving the ceramic a serene, timeless appeal.

The handmade lampshade is covered with a high-quality fabric featuring stylized cranes and floral elements on a dark blue background. The combination of the graphic pattern and the rich ceramic glaze appears both modern and Far Eastern inspired. When illuminated, warm light accents emerge, beautifully highlighting the delicate details of the fabric.

Conversion to a lamp
The vase was transformed into a lamp with care to preserve the original object. No drilling was done, so the original condition of the ceramic and thus its collector's value are maintained. The construction is fully reversible.

Technology – wireless & flexible:
The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. Lighting duration up to 12 hours. The bulb can be repurchased at any time for approximately 12 Euros. The LED bulb is suitable for outdoor use. It can be dimmed via the included remote control – multiple light colors are adjustable. Thanks to its wireless use, the lamp is particularly suitable for places without a direct power connection, such as on a balcony, terrace, or in the garden.
