Cordless Vase Lamp from a Scheurich Pagoda Vase – Model 267
This special accent lamp was created from an original Scheurich vase of the popular series 267. The striking pagoda shape is one of the characteristic designs of West German ceramic production of the 1960s and 1970s. This particular example features an impressively intense blue flowing glaze, ranging from deep cobalt blue to light ice-blue nuances, which further emphasizes the vase's sculptural form.
The vase measures 20 cm in height, and the finished lamp reaches a total height of 42 cm. It was combined with a handmade lampshade measuring 20 × 20 cm. The fabric displays an abstract, almost dreamlike landscape in vibrant blue, violet, orange, and gold tones. When lit, it creates a fascinating play of colors with great depth and a particularly warm lighting effect.
Conversion to a Lamp
The vintage vase was converted into a lamp with particular care. No drilling was carried out. The construction uses a precisely fitting closure solution, ensuring the ceramic remains undamaged. The interior was weighted to ensure a stable stand. This largely preserves the collector's value of the vase.
Technology – Cordless & Flexible
The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. Lighting duration up to 12 hours. The bulb can be repurchased at any time for approximately 12 Euros. The LED bulb is suitable for outdoor use. It can be dimmed with the included remote control – multiple light colors are adjustable. Due to its cordless operation, the lamp is particularly suitable for places without a direct power connection, such as balconies, terraces, or gardens.
